This is actually a pretty good deal. The blade is stainless steel and you also get the scabbard and a wooden display stand. Here is the link.

Too bad, sold out. :( That was pretty cheap for a genuine Hattori Hanzo. ;)
Looks like the site also has swords from HERO and HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS (still in stock, but more expensive). Are these all actually licenced? They look very nice in the pics.

Doubt it. Liscenced prop replica swords are usually ~$200.

I agree, but I got a Braveheart knock off for around $60 vs. $200+ and it is hard to tell the difference. So factoring in the regular price, it might be decent enough for those that don't want to drop 200 bones on an official one.
BTW, this deal is done. out of stock.

Hi, I received my Blade sword today. It is definitley a knockoff, but I think it is still pretty cool. It says it is a Vampire Hunter sword on the box, I will post some pics of it later tonight. It was only $50.00 including shipping, so I am not sweating it to much. If anybody receives the kill bill sword, post some pics, I am thinking about getting that one also.

Thanks!

How's the biuld quality? I mean, does it feel really delicate or at least a bit sturdy? (I'm not expecting much, but I'm curious.)

It's fairly sturdy. The blade is stainless steel. I wouldn't go around fighting ninjas with it, though. ;)

Great! I was a worried that it might fall apart right out of the box (specifically, where the blade meets the hilt). I'd be pissed, but my sword would be broken, so I wouldn't be able to vent appropriately.

Wow, really quick shipping! Got mine tonight. It's great. I expected it to be about the same quality as the cheapy katanas you find in Chinatown, but not at all. The stand is kind of cheesey, but the sword itself is a great deal.

Got mine today and the sword was bent. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed. How was everyone else's packaged? Mine was packaged pretty poorly. It just had a flimsy box covering the blade with the handle sticking out and uncovered. The sword was bent where the blade meets the handle. I refused it, so UPS is returning it to the company. Hopefully, an exchange will be painless.

It was completely in a long box, packed with styrofoam around it. The blade was in the sheath entirely

Well, I got mine today, but I don't have good news to report like most of you. Here is an email I sent back to them...
"I received my sword today, however I must say I am not happy. The packaging was very poor, as the box looked to be torn in many places. The sword was completely separate from the sheath, and that caused the blade to be bent slightly. The blade also had grease all over it and several scratches/dings on it. The sheath it self has quite a few places where the paint is entirely peeling off, and the little metal cap on the bottom of the sheath is coming off."

The oil on the blade is intentional. It prevents rust.
(But everything else you mentioned is a legitimate complaint).

Okay, I was pretty sure that was the case. Hopefully they will get back to me soon about the rest.
edit: Actually about the 'oil' (seemed more like grease to me), does that mean that since others have said they received the sword in the sheath, that inside the sheath it actually has a bunch of gook inside it, so every time you take the sword out of the sheath it will be covered in it?

I received mine today and it seemed well packaged and in nice condition. This was definitely worth $25.

well, considering it's a high quality stainless steel, rusting shouldn't really be a factor right?

No. Guns, knives, swords, machine parts... anything metal, regardless of the quality of the metal, gets packed in cosmoline to protect and preserve the metal. And stainless is a misnomer, it can be stained and it can rust.

It is grease, its called cosmoline. It's what they pack metal products in as a preservative. Theoretically, you're right. From my practical use of my sword however, no. It appears they only put a light coating on the blade and while there will be a little left in the sheat, it's not much and will further to serve as a protectant. If you ever go to Chinatown in San Francisco, there are dozens of souvenier shops that sell cheap katana/wakazashi sets that are gooped up with cosmoline. Very annoying.

It looks like they added a couple of more new swords for sale. They have the sword from The Last Samurai and Bill's sword from Kill Bill. They are knock off's - no doubt about that. Although mine wasn't damaged in shipping I wasn't too impressed with the packaging. I'm less impressed with the sword itself though. I'm glad I didn't spend more that $15 on it. It looks and feels pretty cheap, and the way the blade goes into the handle makes me think that if I actually were to swing it at anything that gave resistince it would snap. I don't plan to test it though.

I got my sword today, and I'm pleased with it. It's clearly a knock-off, but it's pretty cool-looking. It also feels relatively sturdy as well; it required a little bit of effort to begin to bend the blade at the hilt (I didn't fuck up my sword--I just bent it a little and then back to where it was initially). More dull than a butter knife, but DEFINITELY worth the $, as it'll look neat haning on my wall. :)
Oh--and it was packaged pretty well, too!
