Columbia has released very early details on a new two-disc deluxe edition of Jumanji which stars Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, Adam Hann-Byrd, Jonathan Hyde and Kirsten Dunst. This brand new special edition will be available to own from the 8th November this year, and should set you back around $19.94 or thereabouts. We have no word on extra material for this one yet, but we'll bring you further details soon

I received it as a free DVD w/ my player many years ago, and didn't want to watch it. I gave it a chance and loved it. It's a goofy action flick, but some fun stuff. Robin Williams isn't side splitting funny, but he fits into this.
I think the reason for re-release is movie coming out that's from the same writer as Jumanji, that test audiences kept comparing to Jumanji, so now it's being marketed as being from the same universe. It's more of a sci-fi bent though with killer robots and such.
I can't recall the name, Zarthura or something?

Unless of course you've never seen it before.
Oh, I'm sorry, that was presumptous of me. If someone didn't think to pick up a movie they've never heard of when it was first released, then who the hell are they to consider picking up a re-release, even though for them it's the first time?

Another title to check off the "Lost in Hurricane Charley" checklist. I was hoping they'd come out with a nice 2 disc SE & with Zathura coming out I would've been shocked if they didn't release one. MovieCash would make it extra sweet but no matter what I'll be all over it.

For some reason I never picked up this movie even though it was a childhood favorite (yea, I'm only 20). If there's some solid extras I'll go for this, if not I'll just get the one in the $5.50 WM bin I saw last time I was there.

Now they're bringing to my attention a movie I may have never even considered. The original release was in 1997, then the collector's edition was released in 2000. A 5 year lapse from the previous version is hardly worth the fuss you're making. If you're not interested, move along.
I thought might have come off a little harsh, but to be called a studio schill is damn near a personal attack.
Fox's six months between releases is a double dip, 5 (that's five!) years between releases is an upgrade.
Hell, I think I may buy this just to piss off anyone pissed off by double dips. It won't be first title I have two DVDs of.
