Anyways, I really wished the ChiSox could get him in their lineup. But the Reds won't budge, even though that franchise is going absolutely nowhere.

there's different types of juice. some give you endurance, some make you recover faster.
Alex Sanchez took juice and he's not exactly big. Palmiero took juice and he's not exactly big. David Eckstein is rumored to have been caught for taking juice (they say that he's in the appeal process) and he's not exactly big. Lance Armstrong is rumored to have juiced and he's not exactly big. Get my point?
Also, for the record, I don't think that Griffey has juiced

I was just watching SC this weekend and saw Girffey hitting his 31 and 32 HR and thought the same thing about him. Admist all the bad press that baseball has been getting this year (Barry Bonds, Rafy Palmeiro, Randy Johnson, Jose Canseco, etc.. etc..) his year is definitely one of the few feel good stories this season. Hope I didnt jinx him.

I don't Jr was ever did roids either.
He was the best player in baseball w/Seattle and wasn't hurt that often except a broken wrist. He didn't need them then so why would he start when he went to the Reds.
Its funny how players who are injury prone are accused of juicing, and then players who are remarkably healthy (Palmerio) are also accused of being on steriods.

I was going to post something similar earlier but didn't want to curse him :) . I think Griffey is the best baseball story this year. He didn't start hitting until May - I wonder what he will do during a full year completely healthy. 45 homers?

I think Eckstein was the player who couldn't take steroids because of a history of health issues in the family and was apealling using this argument. it was mentioned by Gammons (I think) in one of his articles and reporters started a guess game using his name. It was something like "among the players caught (taking steroids) are an all star and one player who could not have used steroids because of health issues in his family", or something close to this.
I don't follow Eckstein's career so I can't comment on this, but this is probably where it started.

While Ken Griffey Jr. is offically listed as day-to-day with a strained right foot, the injury could be more serious, the Dayton Daily News reported in its Wednesday edition.
A source said Griffey actually pulled part of a tendon off the bone, "Potentially a serious situation, potentially a season-ending injury," the source told the paper.
Griffey, who'd like to play again this season, will be treated with anti-inflammatories and rehab over the next three days. Griffey will then be reevaluated Friday.
Griffey might be able to pinch hit, might be able to play, "but if the tendon tears completely off the bone his season is over," the source told the paper.
Griffey, however, said he hasn't received any info from the Reds medical staff on his season possibly being over and is proceeding as though he will learn more about his injury on Friday.
The injury is similar to one Griffey sustained on the same foot two years ago, a partial tear, and at the time the tendon was sewn back onto the bone.
Griffey is already expected to have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, in addition to an operation to fix a hole in his leg left over from his hamstring surgery last year that seeps.
