There are cover searches for Time (http://www.time.com/time/coversearch) and SI (http://dynamic.si.cnn.com/covers/search). But I couldn't find one for Newsweek. Checking Michael Phelps, he was on Time on Aug 9 but Joe Namath was on SI that week, so there's one athlete still missing.
Here's the exact dates for the other two already mentioned.
