The Matt Lawton era in Chicago is over. That was about as long as the Jody Gerut era was.

Icing on the cake is they called up Scott "Die Hard" McClain!!! He of over 1,000 minor league games and like 4 season in japan. Reward for his great year in AAA with 30HR.

This season is so fucked, we've got Nomar playing 3rd again and a guy that we have to see if he can be a ML SS (Ronny Cedeno) is still sitting behind the great Neifi Perez. I just now Neifi is going to be the starter next year.

Speaking of being dominated by sub-par teams, cheers to another great effort by the Boston pitching staff. They managed to turn a 6-0 lead into a 12-8 deficit. I'm saying it right now, and I don't care how well they hit, The Sox are not only not going to repeat, I don't see them making the playoffs at this rate. That's probably not a bad thing, because this staff would be humiliated in postseason play.

It looks like those 2 games against the Yankees really locked Contreras in. He's pitched 6 innings so far and has only given up 1 hit and, most importantly, no walks.

He got out with only 2 runs so Sox still lead but only by 2. I don't think he should come out for the 8th. Of course, Ozzie can be strange and probably will keep him in.

Sox luck out and only give up one run on Sexson's double, Dye to Konerko to throwing Suzuki out at the plate. Clinging to a 1 run lead. I still would like to see Jenks pitch for the save in the 9th. Hermanson can use the day off and I think Jenks can do it.
