Yes, "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" and the not-even-released-yet "The Cave" will be released by Sony on 11/29...details, as usual, to follow....

This puts me in the unusual situation of actually siding with theater owners. ;) They're complaining that the theater-to-DVD window is shrinking... and overall, I don't think that has much impact on overall box office. (Although 3 months is a bit tight.)

But to announce something *BEFORE* it even comes out (The Cave)? Hell, Amazon will probably have a preorder for $15.99 on their front page before it hits theaters. That's nuts.

I'll probably pick up Deuce.

bboisvert,

Actually, it opens this Friday, but won't be officially announced until the middle of September, thus it'll have a good three weeks to rake in as much as it can.....

So 3 months is the official theater-to-DVD window? Wow... Is there even a point in going to the movies now?

Well, I was really thinking about going to see the the Cave, but hell, I will just buy it instead. With that date, it will be part of the annual sale after Black Friday sale.

Honestly, for me it does not matter. I will probably not see The Cave at the theaters and will pick it up on dvd.

Wow...I could give a crap about D.B.E.G., but I'm a sucker for monster movies and read about The Cave in Fangoria awhile back, looks like I'll just be renting this one.
