Family Dollar now has $5 MGM Special Edition DVDs + dual-sided Brentwood DVDs for $1.
If you have a Family Dollar near you, you might want to check out their current DVD sales. Today, they had the following MGM Special Edition titles for $5:
The Graduate
World is Not Enough
Rollerball (new version)
+ quite a few others that I can't remember now
Also, they have new Brentwood $1 DVDs that are 2-sided discs with double the content of previous $1 DVDs, and they come in thin plastic jewel cases and not cardboard envelopes.
I got. . .
Joker's Wild (4 Three Stooges episodes / Laurel & Hardy's Flying Deuces)
Lucy Show (9 episodes)
Dick Van Dyke Show (7 episodes)
Ozzie and Harriet (10 episodes)
Andy Griffith Show (8 episodes)
Burns and Allen (10 Episodes)

The Brentwood dollar DVDs are a great value . . . the most episodes that I've ever seen on dollar DVDs, which usually give you 3 or 4 episodes. Here are a few more that I saw, in addition to those listed in the first post:
Dusty's Trail - obscure 1973 series that blends Gilligan's Island with Wagon Train (Bob Denver stars); 8 episodes
The Cisco Kid - 10 episodes
Dragnet (orignal 1950s version) - 10 episodes
Bonanza - 4 episodes
Surprisingly, the original theme music is included on Brentwood's Andy Grifffith and Bonanza releases and Rick Nelson's musical performances are intact on the Ozzie & Harriet disc.
Among the MGM releases, I also saw Steve Irwin's fairly recent "Crocodile Hunter" movie for $5.00.

I went to Family Dollar earlier today and I saw several titles for $5 and $10. I was also surprised to see that they had several copies of The Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition for $20, all of their titles up front were $5 so I guess since there are 4 disc in the LotR set they just multiplied 4 times $5.

I'm giving this thread a bump because I saw some new Brentwood $1 DVDs today at the Family Dollar. New titles I picked up:
Night of the Living Dead / House on Haunted Hill
Wild Ride / Little Shop of Horrors
Abraxas / Slipstream
These come in slim cases.
