Looking for game suggestions for Gamecube (war games)
I'm looking for some suggestions for war games for my Nintendo Gamecube.
Something where you move armies, or individual pieces (tanks, soldiers, artilliary) around, but you are looking at a map with a large scale (the globe, or a large battlefield).
For the Nintendo 64, something like "Command and Conquer".

I don't know if it's quite what you're looking for or not, but Battalion Wars comes out next month. It's based on Advance Wars series, but looks like more of a 3rd Person action game set in a war scenario.
I can't really think of any true Real Time Strategy games like you're talking about for the GameCube. They're pretty much a strictly PC genre.

The only thing I can think of is Fire Emblem which is a fantasy themed turn based strategy title, but not due out for a few months. Nothing like Command and Conquer really.

They're not military related, but Pikmin / Pikmin 2 are excellent RTS games.
If you want a military RTS, the only ones I know for GC are Army Men RTS and Future Tactics. Neither is as good as C&C, but you can get em cheap.

Thanks for the suggestions, the preview for Fire Emblem sounds promising. I’ll need to see the reviews for Battalion Wars once it comes out to make up mind on that one.
Pikmin and Pikmin 2 sound good, but the prices are still high, I’ll keep an eye on their prices though. Per IGN, here are the strategy games for the game cube (name / genre / score with 10 being the best):
Pikmin Strategy 9.1
Worms Blast Strategy 5.8
Gladius Strategy RPG 8.1
Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom Strategy 3.5
Goblin Commander: Unleash The Horde Strategy 8.0
Worms 3D Strategy 7.0
Future Tactics: The Uprising Strategy RPG 6.8
Pikmin 2 Strategy 9.3
Gladius sounds promising and is cheap, as does Worms 3D.
I’ll also keep an eye out for Ogre Battle and Starcraft, both for the N64.
