I read Jason Bovberg's DVD review of Morvern Callar at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=9138 and...his point that "The disc offers no subtitles, which might have helped with some of the obscure accents" took the words right out of my mouth. I went back to the set up over and over, looking for a choice of subtitles and found none. Actors talking in cockney accents is absurd!

that's too bad. my Region 2 edition has english subs available. also, criterion was thoughtfull enough to include them on their Ratcatcher disc.
