Actually I thought it might be best to just let you choose. Nobody seemed to like my last two choices, so...methinks why not let Roto spin the wheel of fate and see what comes up!

Holy crap! Do you have a flight stick or something? I'm still trying to figure out how I want to set up the controls. I have yet to play it using the throttle. The only version I played before was on my Sega Master System. Thunder Blade never worked in MAME until recently.

Heh. No, I'm just using me ol' Logitech WingMan, but thanks. I really didn't think that score was all that impressive, as it was just the result of my fifth try. (I hadn't played it since '87-'88.) That's why I didn't even bother naming a new game.
But...since I'm thinking of it now, let's aim for DONKEY KONG 3. (You've already played the first two. Might as well complete the trifecta!)

It's impossible to finish this level unless you get the remaining "lode" in devil's screen early, which is difficult because the spider guys are swarming all over you then. But if you wait, they're locked in where you need to drop down...and they won't move. I can't decide if this is a flaw in the initial design or not.

Well, I re-read the rules and if there were no other scores for the other games, it would just continue. So now that there are scores for everything, the 72 hour rule is in effect. Roto is just trying to stall so he doesn't have to play Make Trax.

Stop the presses...!
I knew the moment I typed that reply it would come back to haunt me! But! I still stand by what I said: It's not impossible to get by that level, but you hafta nail that one sucker ASAP. (I didn't discover this until I had wasted three players...grumble grumble.)
It is funny how the game rewards you for not "killing" anything. Maybe someone should pass this along to the recent gaming lynch mob on Capitol Hill!

Plus I REEEEAAAALLLY don't want to play Make Trax. The only reason I know that game is because when I first found out about arcade emulators there were maybe a couple dozen playable games, and that was one of them.

You have a spinner, don't you? I tried avoiding Arkanoid as long as I could, but I had to pick 3 games and I love those old Breakout games. Arkanoid being the best of them.
I think on the PC version you could make your own levels, or it was the shareware game called Popcorn.
