Lions Gate chooses Blu-Ray

From DigitalBits:
In other news this morning - and this is rather interesting - Hollywood mini-major Lions Gate has officially chosen a side in the forthcoming HD format war, coming down in favor of Blu-ray Disc. Studio president Steve Beeks cited the format's more robust copy-protection measures as a key factor in making the decision. This news comes just a day after the Universal Music Group also joined the Blu-ray camp, adding their support to Blu-ray backers Buena Vista, Sony Pictures, Sony Music, MGM and 20th Century Fox.

I have a feeling Blu-Ray will win out with Warner Bros. being the last to switch over.

Oh, Lion's Gate. Well, that just settles it. Whatever format gives us Blair Witch 2 in high-def has automatically won....

Are you sure they didn't think that this was the SYNDICATED version of Blu-Ray, not the syndication of blu-ray?
