Any PS2 Controllers With Rapid-Fire Buttons?

Good Lord, I keep getting my ass kicked by God Of War. I'm sure it's a brilliant game, but I just can't seem to tap my buttons fast enough for those assholes who designed it. I keep giving up and shelving the game because I can't press circle quick enough. I remember old third-party controllers had like a "rapid fire" button. Any current-generations have one? I know that the Mad Catz ones have some sort of macro button, but I'm not sure what it does.

On principle, I don't like to cheat, but desperate times call for desperate measures and I'm not having fun anymore

Well, just in case anyone is interested (and judging by the total lack of responses, I guess they're not), I found one. It a very ugly, cheaply-made Intec (lord help me) WWE controller. It has "Turbo" button which when held down will rapid fire any face button. Yeah, it's cheating, but I couldn't play the game without it. It was only $10 at BB. While I hate to buy another controller (probably my sixth), I guess it's no more wasteful than buying a game guide (something I've never done for more than a nickle).
I'll only break it out when I'm really stuck.

BTW : I found that the corded controller is much better than the wireless one for rapid pressing of the buttons. I usually use my Logitech wireless, but not for this anymore.
