Critique of Wade Williams "She Demons"

I have what to me is a serious criticism of the print used by Wade Williams for this DVD, if this is the version you're referring to.

There is a scene where the actresses/models perform a ritual dance before having been converted to the titular demons. One by one they parade up to the camera for a brief second of un-shared limelight in the center of the camera's focus.

...Watch that scene again...

The print used for Wade's DVD was one from which (perhaps you've seen this phenomena before) at some point in the print's history, someone has snipped choice individual frames. I think this practice was done for obtinaing and reproducing unauthorized photo prints for collecotrs. Unfortunately, the frames removed are the best ones in the case of each dancer where she is straight-on looking at the camera and gettign her moment to shine. One by one they come, snip, snip, snip...

Once its been brought to your attention it is VERRRRRY noticeable.

...and now I can't freeze frame on each beautiful face!

About par for Wade Williams. I don't think he's too worried about the quality of film as long as he owns the rights to them. Look what he did to Rocketship X-M, replacing scenes and re-editing the movie and then refusing to let the original be released. What a jerk.

Can you tell me more about Wade Williams? I hope he isn't licensing more titles and giving us alternate versions instead of the original editions.

Sinister Cinema sells a DVD-R of it on their website, and it's a fairly good print and transfer.

Does it include the missing frames?

I think so. I definitely remember seeing all the girls racing towards the camera to do their dance. I don't recall seeing any weird splice marks or jumps in that scene, either.
