I read Aaron Beierle's DVD review of Frank Miller's Sin City at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=17141 and...
Yes Aaron! I wanted to see a high rating. Great review and I can understand why it didn't get Collector's because there are no extras.
And as the reviews keep coming in...all of them are WoW! IGN gave it 10/10 for movie and video. 9/10 for sound and we know the extras story.
Has a DVD got the Collector's based soley on the movie?

I placed Der Untergang in the Collector's series (my one and only pick so far to get the nomination) based predominantly on the quality of the movie. I am a realist and understand that the film is not likely to get the lavish treatment the German distribs Constantin Film AG did for the German/Swiss market. But all things considered this is indeed a phenomenal film, unlike anything I have seen in the last 20 years, and I happen to have seen quite a few. With other words, I went against my principles (in terms of extras) and gave it the highest ranking.

No sound.
I picked up Sin City yesterday and I have no sound from the movie -- although the menu (stereo) has music. When I start the movie, my A/V controller frashes "no data."
Am I the only one with this problem? The package says DTS, and my system wants AC-3, but I have never had trouble with any format of DVD before.

My Sin City dvd sounded GREAT. One of the best sounding discs all year. No problems at all.
