Law and Order addicts, repeats on tv or dvds?

I just a few days ago really started getting hooked on law and order repeats on tnt. i was wondering if i should start gettting the dvd's at about 40 a piece (are they comeing out quickly or slowly?) or just stick to the tnt repeats? and are any of the spinoffs worth looking into?

They are on so much, I have seen nearly all of them in about three months.

I can't imagine buying this show on DVD.

Well, there's only 4 years out on DVD so far (S1-3 and 14), and they come out pretty slowly, so you might as well stick with TNT. Plus, the McCoy years (with Claire, Jamie, and Abbey) are better IMO than the Stone years (1-4), although S4 is awesome.

I'm a L&O junkie - in its prime, one of the greatest dramas of all time. I plan on buying S4 through S10 when they come out.

SVU is fantastic. I can't stand CI.

I'd say TV as well. TNT plays them all the time and USA plays SVU just as much.

For some reason, I prefer watching them on TV over DVD. Some shows don't lend themselves to DVD well I fine, and L&O is one of them.

To me, L&O is right in my DVD wheelhouse - great replay value.

TNT does hack it up. They cut some out and they don't go with the original commercial breaks. Very annoying.

It was much better when A&E had the rights.
