King Kong video game - looks amazing

Came across these clips. Well worth the download. It has the look of Far Cry meets Jurassic Park and from what I saw, game play looks like a lot of fun. Any buzz on this game?

Wow, wonder if they will remove the sex scenes with King Kong given the recent controversy with GTA

All of these movie based games look great, but most of the time the gameplay sucks. Aside from Spiderman 2, these games don't seem to get good ratings. Batman Begins looked great, but from what I read, the game was subpar.

Yup, they're just there to cash in on the tie-on. It's hurtful as a gamer to see great games that have trouble just getting published (Psychonauts) or get left exclusive to Japan but every little kids comic movie or such you get a timely release on every single platform lining the shelves of Wal*Marts and Targets across the nation.

I agree, looks and sounds great, but these types of games (especially from EA) are just interactive movies and I get bored quickly.

With Michel Ancel's track record, I have no doubt of the quality of any game he's creating, licensed or not.

That's what I was thnking when I saw these. The graphics were great but, the dino movements and kongs movements looked scripted for lack of a better word.

*googles* Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil.. I'll admit, he's got a good track record.

Kind of like riding THE PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN or HAUNTED MANSION ride at Disneyland... you are stuck on the same path, while the graphics dance around you in same way they always do.

Yes, since this is from the Beyond Good & Evil it should atleast be above average, especially when compared to other typical franchises/licenses. Normally I would be as skeptical as everyone else is, but I have more faith with this one because of the track record. I guess we will just wait and see, but I get the impression that this is more than just a typical EA job of relying on a license to sell.

Yeah, it looks ot be one of the more promising movie/game collaborations. Chronicles of Riddick was the last good one of those that i played.

I caught a presentation for this at E3 and wasn't particularly impressed with the gameplay footage I saw. I was actually a bit miffed that i waited an hour and was bored watching the demo
