Be advised about slipcovers. If you want to choose go to a B&M.

With the different slip covers, I will have to buy at B&M. I will end up paying the same anyways.

Is there going to be a special edition of the movie released before Christmas? If so, I will simply wait.

Mine shipped Wednesday morning! I thought all the covers looked cool so I'll just let it be random :)

Yeah, there should be another version with the three stories viewable in their longer, standalone forms. A blurb in Blender said it would be out pretty soon, but I have no exact date. I'm holding off.

That price is ok, but I will be stopping at Wal-Mart or somewhere and getting it on Tuesday. I need to be able to have my choice of cover. I will trade this bare bones version in, whenever a fancy version comes out. I didn't wait for Kill Bill I'm not waiting on this.

I find that whenever I read one of those vague stories with no dates, I usually have to wait years for the new version. For 15 bucks, I'll get it now and decide when the time comes about a possible upgrade. :)

Just FYI, it's $15.98 at Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005JNTX/qid=1123771561/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-0763990-9024855?v=glance&s=dvd

If you're combining with something to get free shipping and using the A9 pi/2 discount, this could work out to be a better deal for some.

Exactly... Enjoy the wait. How's that Kill Bill SE coming along?

Must do the B&M for the slipcover but that's a pretty good price from DDD.

And by the time the special edition is announced, the first wave of HD releases will likely be on the horizon.

I know, it could be later rather than sooner, but this is RR we're talking about, not QT. Our boy in Austin is speedy. I have faith.

Who knows...personally I'm thinking it'll come sometime next yr to coincide with the sequel. If Fry's has this for 13.99 I think I'll pull the trigger on it.

Very true, RR gets things done. I just read an interview with him on IGN where he talks about the 2-disc edition and the extras.

Here's a link if anyones interested:

Your knocking people for wanting to wait, but yet you admit you can't order it online because you want a certain slipcover?

Some people are concerned about the content and some are concerned about the pretty packaging. I'd rather have a great movie than a pretty package to look at. Let me guess; you want the one with Alba on the cover? Make sure to wipe it off when you're finished.

Yup... And I'm sure I'm the only one that wants to choose the slipcover.

Like I said, enjoy the wait... I'll be watching Sin City this evening.

Your Alba and wipe comment... :wtf: is that about? I'm sorry, at what point in this thread did I call you out? FYI - since you're obviously interested in my business - I picked up the Benicio Del Toro cover. -rolleyes-

Well, I wanted to upgrade my Quicken program, so I got Quicken Deluxe 6 for $59 with a $20 dollar rebate, and because I got Quicken I got Sin City and the comic book for free + $3.01 off my Simpsons Season 6 at BestBuy. Not a bad deal.

They have them stashed at the checkout counter. I had to ask for it, otherwise my freebie would of been on ebay.
