Possible box set releases for Batman Beyond and Justice League?

As per tvshowsondvd.com:

ToonZone.net has reported overnight that a marketing director at Warner Home Video has spoken out about the future of DC Comics' animated TV series on DVD. She says that we can certainly expect more box sets of Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: TAS in our future. But even more exciting is the part which says that "box sets for Batman Beyond and Justice League are 'currently under evaluation.' " Nice! The comments conclude with the cryptic message that "Warner Home Video 'should have good news soon' concerning future Animated DC DVD box sets." Sounds cool; stay tuned and we'll fill you in on details of these upcoming releases just as soon as we can!

Very cool indeed. I'd love to get Justice League in box sets. Those 3-4 episode releases were dumb.

I think a batman beyond set was just a matter of time, actually i'm suprised they haven't officially announced one yet.

Batman Beyond is a must-buy. I like the later seasons of Justice League and, even better, Justice League Unlimited, so hopefully they won't take their time releasing those.

Although not a DC comic show, I'd love to see box sets of X-Men: Evolution as well.

I'd love a box set of Justice League. While the individual discs for the story arcs are okay, there are a few stand alone episodes that are being left out. It's funny, a friend of mine and I were just discussing this last night. We both said we'd like box sets of Justice League.

There is currently a notion that there is a glut of TV on DVD these days and the studios are putting the brakes on a little to keep demand up.

Well, obviously this thread right here along with others I'm sure, are showing a demand for these two series in box sets. Hell, I'm still anxiously awaiting the remainder of the Superman TAS sets.

At least the announcment is a step (however small) in the right direction! To hell with these one disc releases with THREE FRACKIN" episodes on 'em! Come on WB...release more box sets and people will come to buy!!

Take care all!!

Yep, that's exactly why I refuse to buy the single disc editions. Plus the fact that they weren't released in order. I mean, why jump around in the episode order? Especially if there's the least bit of continuity going on between 2-episode shows.

Maybe I said that wrong. Keeping the brakes on high demand releases increases the likelyhood that you may spring for some of the crap releases that are already out there while you wait.

Cool, I would buy both Batman Beyond and Justice League in season sets. Hopefully if/when these are released they will sell well so Disney (don't they have the rights now?) will release X-MEN: TAS and Spider-Man: TAS in DVD season sets. I'm also waiting for the next Superman: TAS set, damn them for taking so long.
