We're in the process of tuning up our review system and wanted to get reader feedback on changes you'd like to see.

First and foremost we're going to look at overhauling the front review page:

Ideas... Thoughts... Suggestions...

What would the overhaul include?

Personally I think it'd be nice to separate some of the reviews into sections such as anime, music, tv, and movie. But on the other hand I think that would lead to some imbalance due to the higher frequency of movie reviews than, say, anime or music reviews. So I guess that might not work out, but perhaps there could be a search option along those lines (ie- search by TV, search by anime, etc etc).

We've already got a seach feature that works like that. Just click "Advanced Search" near the main search bar on the Reviews page, and you can list matches by genre, etc. (including anime).

Ahhh, thanks! ;)

I'm not sure what else to suggest, in that case. However, if you guys already have something specific in mind I'll share my opinion about it :)

Bringing out those details is a good idea, though -- instead of burying that in an advanced search, have it in a sidebar or something.

I am not sure if this could apply, but what if at the top of each review the reviewer puts what equipment they are watching the movie on.

I always thought it would be a little more insightful, so if a reviewer gives a video or audio rating of 5 stars but he/she is watching it on a 15 inch black and white television then that made justify why they gave it that rating.

just a thought

That information is listed in most reviewers' profiles.
