I doubt Corman would want to spend the money.

I would love a new improved edition of this. Campy film and it has the Ramones so you can't ask for much more.

The 2001 release, despite being non-anamorphic, is a terrific disk, loaded with extras, plus a 24-page insert booklet - it's called a "special edition" and it really is.

I thought the book that came with this was pretty interesting--it has interviews from more or less when the movie came out.

I would agree, but I was extremely disappointed with the audio on this release. Very rough and brittle.

As much as I hate Corman and 99% of the films he is associated with this one is definitely a classic. I'm kind of shocked I don't have this DVD yet as big of a Ramones fan as I am. I agree waiting on an anamorphic release is pointless. I must pick this up this weekend.
