Detective Movies on DVD?
Now that the entire Thin Man series is finally(!) out on DVD, and seems to be a big seller - I'm wondering what the status is on seeing some other detective movies on DVD...
Just looking for any information on these. Who holds the rights, any future release dates I'm not aware of...possible problems that might exclude some titles from ever being released. Basically any info I can get.
Would love to see some similar box set collections for:
Michael Shayne
Charlie Chan
The Falcon
Boston Blackie
Bulldog Drummond
The Crime Doctor
Ellery Queen
Mr. Moto
Nick Carter
The Lone Wolf
The Saint
Mr. Wong

I am not sure if you call this a Detective series But I would like to see "The
Whistler" series of movies with Richard Dix on DVD.
It was a Great Radio Show.

The complete Mr Wong is already on DVD from Roan.
The post Fox Charlie Chan movies are in a box set from MGM.
Don't know about the rest, but I would bet many of the other detective films are probably in the public domain and probably were not cared for very well over the years. TMC has shown some of those movies over the years so maybe there is hope at some point.
