BSG UK or US version?
So the DVD for the UK version is out, and I heard the US version is coming in September. So, what's the difference? Why would I wanna pick one over the other? Cuz I'm not buying both...

Long answer to your question is in the thread in the dvd talk forum since this is more a DVD question than a TV question:

The short answer:
The US version will have commentaries and the miniseries included as well as the "war drums" US opening credits.
The UK version is out now and has the UK opening as well as deleted scenes that will also be on the US version.
So you should buy the UK version only if you a.) can't wait b.) hate special features or c.) just really have a fervernt dislike of the US opening to the extent that it trumps the commentaries, features, and miniseries that will be included on the complete US release Sept 20th.
I should add price will be relatively the same for both sets.

UK version also leaves the groans and moans from Boomer when she's getting her freak on in the woods on Caprica.
Not that would be a selling point.
I bought the UK version from the UK when it first came out because I couldn't wait. I doubt I will ever pick up the US version, unless somebody has it for 14.99 sometime for a special season one sale on amazon.com or something like that, as I would watch the bonus features once and that would be it. It's the episodes that matter most to me.
