Trade-In at EB-Games: Help Needed.

Here's the deal. I want to buy Destroy All Humans for PS2, a $50 game. Since I don't have the cash now, I want to trade in some of the PS2 games that I never play. How much do you think I can get from them? Here's what I want to trade-in.

PS2

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
The Getaway
True Crimes: Streets of L.A.
DRIV3R
The Simpsons: Road Rage
Gran Turismo 3
Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack
Socum II: U.S. Navy Seals
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

Thanks for your help.

I doubt that they would give you more than $2 for any of those games.

That sucks. Would GameRush or Gamestop give more? I was planning to go to them today but I wanted some more advice.

No. Try eBay or half.com if you want to maximize how much you get.

Destroy All Humans is on sale next week at Best Buy for $39.99 I believe. If you eBay'ed those games, you should get enough to buy it.

Half.com is the easiest way to sell stuff with that kind of value. I sell many games and DVDs on there.

Here's GameRush's trade quote:

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 - $8.00
The Getaway - $1.50
True Crimes: Streets of L.A. - $3.00
DRIV3R - $5.00
The Simpsons: Road Rage - forgot to check
Gran Turismo 3 - $1.50
Grand Theft Auto: Double Pack - $12.25
Socum II: U.S. Navy Seals - $5.00
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - $1.50

So that's $37.75 plus the Simpsons, should put you over $40 at GameRush.

Gamerush and FYE (if you have one around) generally are regarded as having the best trade-in values.

Make sure FYE has the game, though. Their selection is wanting. I have like $28 in store credit but no games I wanted to get from them, I found like 0 RPGs.

You can get a general idea of the FYE tradein value at their website (same company) -
http://www.wherehouse.com/

Prices should be pretty close. Click on "sell" up the the upper right.

I usually get better trade ins at Gamestop. If you have a the recent copy of GameInformer there is a coupon for 40% additional trade-in credit (50% if you have their value card) when you trade in more than 4 games.

I went in yesterday without the coupon and just asked the associate about it. She said that I could get the magazine and value card for free. I don't know why it was free so your mileage may vary on this one. I ended up getting $130 in credits after trading in some recent games.

Also, at gamerush, they're offering the trade 2, get 1 pre-order for $29.99. You may be able to get one of the BBV employees to hook you up with Destroy All Humans instead of a pre-order (and you'd still have some cash left over)

Ebay them man....you will make so much more money. Most people charge 5 bucks to ship...so that will give you some profit on top of what you get from the auction.

It was the issue with GUN on the cover. That coupon expired 7/31, so it's a moot point.
