SkyAngel - Adding “mainstream” channels (satellite TV)
SkyAngel is a Christian satellite service, offering probably 15 or 20 religious TV stations and another dozen or two religious radio shows / music channels (off of the Dish Network satellites). Now, they are adding “regular” TV channels:
Fox News
Hallmark
Hallmark Movie Channel
HGTV (Home & Garden TV)
Not sure if anybody here is interested, but thought I’d toss it out. It’s something like $110 for a year if you sign up before August 1, $15 / month or $150 / year if you sign up after that.
Back in ’97 when I first signed up for Dish Network I only had ten stations with them (Dish Network’s “Pick 10” program - $10 for any ten stations I picked, that offer is long gone). I had been looking to beef up the number of stations I got cheaply (SkyAngel had a lifetime subscription for something like $200, but that offer is also long gone) but in the end decided that there wasn’t anything on SkyAngel that I would actually watch.
