I've never had a problem using my Visa check card. I even paid with cash one time -biggrin-

BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for the link. I had two of the coupons come from two of my VISA check cards and used them both. This link is a great money saver!

I used two coupons to pick up all 4 discs of Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital. If your HWV is like this one, they were labeled at $9.99 each, but rang up as $5.99 - so total for the entire series is $12 + tax. Great deal, since all of the discs were pristine too, probably not a big renter, yet they had 4-5 copies of each disc.

Can a mod or the OP change the thread title to something more descriptive? I had been avoiding this thread, assuming that it had nothing to do with me (I have a Visa debit card, though). I only found it because I got the HV coupon link from the Movie Gallery thread, and I did a search to see if the coupon already had it's own topic that I had just somehow missed. Nice that this is good for another 3 months, there should be some good deals to be had. I used a couple 50% off previewed coupons (from the $8 trade-in mailer) the other day, and I was pleased to find The Aviator for $10 ($5 after coupon). I was more pleased to find As Time Goes By Series 1&2 for $20 ($10 after coupon). HV does not differentiate between previous rentals and trade-ins, so the coupons can be used for either, which could make things very interesting if a store gets some decent trades (I have no idea how most other stores handle it, but, in contrast, Hastings deals usually apply to either "used" (trade-ins) or "pre-viewed" (ex-rentals), but not both).
How about: B1G1 Hollywood Video Coupon (Visa cardholders) exp. 10/31/05

Do you need a Hollywood Video rental account to use this coupon?

nope, no membership needed
and ymmv but i used the coupon, they rang up a $14.99 dvd first and then a $12.99 dvd and they charged for the $12.99+tax meaning that you the sale may not be 'free dvd must be of equal or lesser value' depending on which dvd gets rung up first.
