Thanks Chew.

I am excited about Frances Conroy and Six Feet Under. Also excited to see that dude Allison Janney not sneaking into Drama Actress.

I read that Lauren Ambrose was not even nominated. At least Terry O'Quinn was!

At least there's a lot of new faces in the list this year.

Happy about Scrubs and Arrested Development as well.

On major noms:

Six Feet Under
Frances Conroy
Fresh faces
Eva Longoria no nomination!
Terry O'Quinn AND Naveen Andrews get nodded

No Lauren Ambrose, who I think is the second best on SFU.
Stockard Channing? Why does this woman keep getting nominated when she is hardly on that damn show anyway?

How in the hell did Desperate Housewives AND Will and Grace tie??? Now, I adore W&G and it's my all time favorite TV series but the show is dead in the water at this point. Sheesh!

Also looks to be that CCH Pounder FINALLY took herself out of the Lead Actress race and finally gets nominated in Supporting. If she would have done that back in 2002 - she would have been nominated at least twice already.

It's up to the actor what category they can be nominated for? How does this work?

I'm glad she got nominated, and Glenn Close too. Too bad Anthony Anderson wasn't recognized.

The fact that McShane wasn't nominated last year was criminal. It's possible that Hugh Laurie will sneak by him though.

Once again, the Emmy committee thoroughly confounds me. They are a fucking joke.

The West Wing? Again?

Will & Grace? 15 nominations!?

Only 2 major nominations for the F/X dramas.

I'm really glad that both "Arrested Development" and "Scrubs" got a lot of big nominations.

I was under the impression that actors do have the option of which category they want to be placed in. I also remember seeing a FYC ad in 2002 for CCH in the lead category.

I mean it's their work.

But I could be blowing it out of my ass.

I think the studio decides, not the actor themselves.

BTW, it's a shame that "The Shield" wasn't nominated, since they've just wrapped up one of their best seasons (probably a tie with season 1). Yet, "24" gets the nod?

The only consolation here is that this is the LAST time Raymond will be eligible for Emmy consideration.

What have you got against last year's big darling Arrested Development? Jessica Walter OWNS this category!

Also, zero consideration for Gilmore Girls in the comedy categories? The Emmy committee must have no idea that the WB and F/X exist.

I think there should be a limit of only one nominee per show per category. 3 of the 5 lead actress in a comedy nominees from "Desperate Housewives?" Give me a fucking break.

I don't have a problem with that. When I made out my list, I couldn't even come up with 5 deserving nominees. Those 3 made my list.
