Arcade Game Challenge #43 - Bring in the logic probe!

I've got a little challenge for you, Sark

In these threads we play arcade games that are emulated on PCs, and compete for the highest score.
You have to take care of finding the games yourself.
Click here for the list of all the past winners and high scores.

The Rules (always a work in progress):
  1. To enter, you just play one of the games and post a screenshot with your score.
  2. Once all the games have a score, the deadline to post any new scores will be 72 hours after the last screenshot is posted.
  3. The winner can pick any game that we haven't already played for the next thread. Don't forget to pick a new game!
  4. Any games should be played with one credit and no continues or any features not on the actual machine.
  5. If you play and beat any of the high scores from the previous games we've played, you can submit them for the All Time Top Scores.

The Games:
(click the games for info and how to play)

Dragon Breed - Score to beat: ~~PAL~~ 227000

Current Leader Chooses: Buster Bros.

Mouse Trap - Score to beat: IgnatiusReilyII 161140

Current Leader Chooses: Superman

Super Space Invaders '91 - Score to beat: IgnatiusReillyII 358660

Current Leader Chooses: Darius

Tron - Score to beat: D300 35427

Current Leader Chooses: Toobin'

The Prize:
Whoever gets the high score for one of the current games picks the next game that replaces it. You also get your name engraved permanently etched onto this eye catching trophy with a genuine Sharpie!

The Winners:

Wow, there seems to be a lot less people playing now that Roto can't provide the files...

Just returned from Comic-con '05...and I'm ready to make you work for the B. Brothers! (Actually I say we trot that one out as well, if I should win more than one.) But to nameth another choice, I summon SUPERMAN (I'm in a DC Comics mood).

Hey, who are you calling "program," program...?!

Well if no one else is going to post his/her Steven Lisberger score, I'll do the honors...although it is rather pathetic. I just can't accomplish much sans a spinner.

My next gaming choice is DARIUS. So if you hate that game, rez up your light cycles and hit the grid. End of line.

That was Discs of Tron we played before. Unfortunately I don't think they made any more Journey games.

Just to make sure it's clear, this thread keeps going as long as there is no score posted for Dragon Breed. Once we've got an entry for every game, it keeps going until we've had 3 days with no new high scores posted.

Wow, I coulda sworn we had played just Tron before. I suppose it's similarity to Journey is what had me confused plus the fact that Journey did the soundtrack for Tron and... well you get it.

Anyways, I'm working on my own Journey RPG which we could maybe play next week. You start out as one of the five guys in high school and by going to gigs, selling T-shirts and 8-Tracks you get cash which you can spend on new guitars, fancy guitar-keyboards and spandex pants. Learn to rock out, get a perm and buy a fancy car and eventually you may even be able to steal Sherry from Steve. Just watch out for the evil Randy Jackson who will try and coerce you into appearing as a Guest judge on American Idol thus proving your career is over.

That'd be AWESOME! It sounds like Rockstar!

Journey ran on Tron hardware.

OK, I'm tired of these games

I'll choose Paperboy.

That makes the current deadline for someone to post a score Tuesday at 9:08PM EDT

It was hard enough for me to get to this thing, I don't think I can beat it unless I get lucky with the right power up.

If D300 doesn't pick a game and this is over tomorrow, we'll just go with Darius. Slow thread, but we've bounced back from worse, so I'll keep it going for now. My Dragon Breed score shouldn't be that tough to beat. That's only level 2.

Keep moving to the left and right, then let 'er have it once the middle section drops down. It really helps to have extra shields and power. Having said that, it's the next wave that's the real bugger. I've made it there with all my men and still been wiped clean out.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the ROM for DRAGON BREED....oh da well.

Hmm.. I might change my Paperboy choice when I get home. I like Toobin, but they both have weird controls. I didn't even bother with Tron.

And I didn't even bother at all..

Upgraded my mac but I had to do a clean install so all my roms I had are gone. And I've been super busy since moving. I'll jump back in when I can.

Just barely beat IRII...

I too, dies right at the next stage after the boss with homing missles. I have beaten it before, but only if you get lucky and get a buster laser or a flame bomb...
