Good RICHARD DREYFUSS movies not out yet on DVD
I find this odd, considering his popularity and clout in Hollywood, past and present. You got what I call the "Richard Dreyfuss Standards" out on DVD - Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Goodbye Girl, Down & Out In Beverly Hills, Mr. Holland's Opus...
...but what about the gems from the late 70's and early 80's? The following movies, surprisingly, are not out yet on DVD:
The Big Fix
The Competition
Who's Life Is It Anyway?
The Buddy System
Any word on these?

Can we even really count "Krippendorf's Tribe" though? The disc is out but mis-labeled as WS when it's in fact FS.

Man, can you imagine the inflated ego Dreyfuss must have had between the years 1975 and 1977? In 1975, he starred in Jaws, then went on to star in Close Encounters of the Third Kind - and then he goes and wins an Oscar in 1977 for The Goodbye Girl!
Dreyfuss is a great and unique actor - and he will definitely be remembered long after his passing.

I liked him in: The Goodbye Girl, with Marsha Mason, the reason be, that my mother, and I watched it together many years ago, and it had remained one of her favorite movies.
And to this present day, whenever I watch this movie alone, I get emotional due to the fact that my mother passed away three years ago, and this particular movie will always be sentimental. Generally, I do not prefer romantic comedies, with the exception of: The Goodbye Girl, which remind me of quality time that we spend together, and this movie will be forevermore special to me.
