router: $59.99
adapter: $49.99
sub total: $109.98
coupon: -$10
total: $99.98
router rebates: -$65
adapter rebates: -$50
total after rebates: around $15 in your pocket (depends on your tax rate)
Select instore pick up to save shipping charges. Don't not pay attention to the rebates for the router and adapter. They have been changed by Bestbuy. I got these on Sunday and the rebates were $65 for the router and $50 for the adapter. If someone can host the pdf files for the rebates (4 of them), let me know. I check back later.

Ok, I emailed you the forms.
I got them off BB's site on Sunday during the sale. They modified the rebate amount due to popular demand I guess.

so do the forms indicate a time frame on the purchases? how would this work if BBY already changed the amount of the rebate?

Seeing as I work in the computer dept at Best Buy I saw a guy buying 5 of each not knowing that if he sent in the rebates hed only get it back for one each.

Yes they do. For the router, originally it was $35 and $30. Now, it's $25 and $30. The valid date for the $35 is from 7/3-7/9. Same situation goes for the adapter.
It doesn't matter if they change it, they have to honor it.

I have my doubts about this. Best Buy has the higher value rebates still listed on the site, but they expired at the end of June. I don't see how they could offer current rebates other then the ones listed because you'd be able to get almost double the amount back by cashing in all the rebates (8 total).
In short, I'll believe it when I see it.

For those who do not want to cut their UPC labels out, print it here. You do not need the original UPC for the rebates, only copy.
Nice. Now this brings up my previous question. Is there anything to stop us from submitting all four rebates for each product rather than just the two posted above or the two posted on best buy's site?

what do you mean by 2 for each product vs 4 for each product? its my understanding that the OP meant the deal to be 2 rebates per product...or are you talking about the 2 valid rebates and the 2 additional expired rebates?
i also didn't quite understand about the guy someone posted who purchased like 8 of these. the rebate terms specifically said it is good one per household. friends and family address i assume??
anyway, thanks OP!

For the router for instance, bestbuy.com lists 2 rebates that are currently valid, one for $25 and one for $30. (They also have 2 expired rebates for people who purchased the router in the past but haven't printed the rebates yet. These are not relevant to us.) The OP has given us two rebates for the router, one for $30 and one for $35. After closer inspection, the two rebates for $30 seem to be identical (btw the fine print says it's valid for up to 10 of the same product), but the $25 one and the $35 one (valid one per household) seem different enough that I'm wondering if you could submit all three rebates for a total of $90, as opposed to submitting just the set of two that bestbuy.com has for $55 or just the set of two that the OP has for $65.
In summary, as opposed to just making ~$15 like the OP mentioned, could we make even more off of the deal?
I'm about to go back and look at the rebates for the wireless USB adapter, but it'll be a similar argument.

I think I get what you're saying. however, if we're sending both the $25 and $35 to the same rebate center, wouldn't their computers see that two offers were submitted for the same item/receipt?
interesting note on the "vaild up to 10" catch. so if you purchase like 2, you'd qualify for the $10 off $100 and then two additional $30 rebates for a total of $70 off of $110 (before taxes). I think that's a good deal even without the additional $35/$25 rebate.

Well, I think I've discovered a little bit more. Here are all of the relevant rebates I've found, all directly linked to on BestBuy.com.
Router:
$35 Best Buy Rebate #59340 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat12105&type=page&rebateid=59340&skuid=4221407&h=387) Valid 7/3/05 to 7/5/05
$25 Best Buy Rebate #59619 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat12105&type=page&rebateid=59619&skuid=4221407&h=387) Valid 7/6/05 to 7/9/05
$30 Linksys Rebate (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat12105&type=page&rebateid=59450&skuid=4221407&h=387) Valid 6/29/05 to 7/31/05
Adapter:

$20 Best Buy Rebate #59619 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat12105&type=page&rebateid=59619&skuid=4125770&h=387) Valid 7/6/05 to7/9/05
$25 Linksys Rebate (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat12105&type=page&rebateid=59450&skuid=4125770&h=387) Valid 6/29/05 to 7/31/05
This raises more questions that it answers. The first rebate for each product is identical (including the rebate number) to the ones provided by the OP except for the offer expiration date. So either two things happened. One, Best Buy cut off the original rebate before they originally planned to and changed the date on the old one. The rebate forms provided by the OP were saved before they made this change. Two, the rebate forms provided by the OP have been altered somehow.
I'm more inclined to believe choice one, so if that's the case purchases made between the 6th and the 9th may be able to submit all 6 rebates since they each have a different rebate number.

Has anyone who submitted these rebates received any information on these rebates from BBY? My sister received a letter for one of the BBY rebates stating that she didn't qualify due to not meeting the purchase dates. She called up the BBY number and spoke with a rep and then a "supervisor" and both say that she doesn't qualify. They claim that when she purchased the router (8th), the rebate was already changed. They said that you're not supposed to print out the rebates until after you make the purchase.
Her defense is that it shouldn't matter when the rebate forms were printed out. As long as she fulfilled the requirements on that rebate form, it shouldn't matter that their website changed the forms after she printed them out. They gave her the address to write a complaint (totally useless) and wouldn't budge.
Since I purchased the exact same two items (router and adapter), I would assume I have the same letter but I won't know that until I get back home (in a week). Anyone have any suggestions on alternatives/recourse to get that rebate?

Call your Credit Card company. They may be able to help you out if Best Buy is screwing you with rebates.

I got two rebates from Best Buy today, one for $25 and the other for $20. The ones that should be coming from Linksys haven't arrived, nor have the higher valued Best Buy rebates that the OP gave us. I don't really expect to get those last two rebates, but I wouldn't mind if I got them.

Linksys is screwing around with our rebates. I called and they claimed the rebates were never received and tell me to resubmit. Here's one of the email from taken from a poster on FW. I think I'm going to file a complaint with my local TV station and BBB.
Dear Mr. XxXXxx,
I apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience. The link you provided is to the Wireless-B Mail-in Rebate Promotion. As I mentioned in my previous email, this rebate offer was put hold which froze the data entering process.
The corrections to the promotion have been updated and the hold was released at the end of last week. There are about 28,000 pieces of mail for this offer that have not been data entered. Linksys is doing everything possible to get these pacticular rebate submissions data entered and the rebate checks processed in a timely manner.
The data base is updated every Thursday. You should be able to see your status online in the next couple of weeks.
Again, I apologize for this inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Linksys Customer Support

Today, I received two letters from Best Buy telling me that they couldn't give me the two higher valued rebates because I didn't make the purchase betweent 7/3 and 7/5, even though the OP's form showed the end date at 7/9. I'm not too concerned about this, but I would've liked to get the rebates :)
I am concerned about the $5 that linksys didn't give me, as I mentioned in the previous post. Does anyone else have anything to add?

I received four rebates as well. The ones I didn't receive were the two higher priced ones that the OP posted that Best Buy had already pulled, which I never really expected to get. (And I didn't get the $5 from Linksys).
