I think the link is for three out at a time. If you put in the code you get:

Which seems to me that it's being described as a discounted 3 out of a time price.

I've tried the code a few times since the post was put up unsuccessfully.
I just tried a few minutes ago and now I'm a Netflix member.

Worked thought it only gave me $8 off my first month.
I did laugh at the welcome email they sent me....
"Our records indicate that as of this mailing, you have only selected 100 movies to rent. To ensure that you get the most out of your free trial, please add another movie or two to your Queue. The sooner you add movies, the faster

Nice! The code worked for me too. It only mentions the one month at the $8.00 discount, but when I went to my account and read the agreement terms, it says
" The regular price of the 3-at-a-time program is $17.99 (plus any applicable tax).
You will receive a $8.00 Sign Up offer discount for the next 2 period(s)."
which makes me think it's definitely the 3 months for $9.99 per month, but they just do it in a clumsy manner (to me, anyway).
