Gamefly: Fast Return

got this in my email today since i'm a member. i know a lot of people dont like the rental services since it can take forever for the place to get your game before mailing out a new one so Gamefly has started something called Fast Return.

GameFly is excited to announce that we have launched our FastReturn™ service to your area! FastReturn™ in partnership with the U.S. Postal Service is designed to improve shipping times for GameFly subscribers. What do you have to do? Nothing. It's that simple.
Basically, once your local post office scans the tag on the return label, they ship out the next game in your Q. so waiting the whole time for them to receive it no longer applies.
Does FastReturn™ apply to me? Depending on your local Post Office, FastReturn™ may not result on every item shipped.
Maybe someone who wasnt so sure about it before might try it out since you can get games faster as long as it applies to you.

Hmm maybe I will try them again, but it also seemed like more people also had a problem with at least one game not getting there. I have had this problem every time I try them, but yet I have never had a problem with Blockbuster or Netflix.

Wow, that sounds pretty cool. I might have to give them another shot once the 360 comes out.

It definitely sounds cool. I remember it taking like a week to receive a game, and a week for them to receive it. That's not very cool.

In my free month with them, they managed to lose three of the games I rented and returned (out of seven, I think). All were placed in USPS boxes. Even though they didn't charge me, it was VERY disturbing. I'll never do an online rental service again. Having said that, this might be a better system.

I know Blockbuster.com does this....it seems to have sped up my service. GameFly sucked when I had them for a free month

It does? I've never seen this behavior from them or is there/are you talking about some sort of online gaming thing BBV has?

Regarding GF I may try it again... I'm kind of burned out on console games right now. I just finished Hollywood Video's in store rental program, went through 30 games in 2 months

Blockbuster is supposed to do this, but I've never seen it actually happen in my time there, or even hear about it happening to other people who use the service. If gamefly is depending on the same post office system Blockbuster is using, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Blockbuster was doing this for me not too long ago, but it was only for like 2 weeks. Then they opened up the Phoenix distribution center and now my movies get to them the next day and they mail mine out that day.
