Walt Disney Classic Cartoon Favorites Volumes 8-9 09.27.05 Christmas disc

From Davis DVD

Disney Classic Cartoon Favorites

Buena Vista has announced the third wave of titles in their Walt Disney Classic Cartoon Favorites line. Due on September 27th are Holiday Celebration With Mickey and Pals (vol. 8) and Classic Holiday Stories (vol. 9). Holiday Celebration will feature the shorts "The Small One," "Pluto's Christmas Tree" and "Mickey's Christmas Carol." Classic Hilday Stories will feature the shorts "Mickey?s Good Deed," "Peculiar Penguins," "The Clock Watcher," "Rescue Dog," "Corn Chips," "Lend A Paw" and "Toy Tinkers." Each disc comes with original fullscreen ratios and Dolby Digital stereo. Retail is $14.99 each.

So for the third time on dvd we get Mickey's Christmas Carol, and I imagine it is here to stay for some time. Mickey's Magical Christmas - Snowed in at the House of Mouse needs a SE release for the Holidays.

Crap! They are missing so many other Chirstmas themed cartoons...I guess I'll stick with my Walt Disney Christmas VHS.

If you own Mickey Mouse In Living Color 2, you already have this. It's on Disc #2.

(I'm not sure if you have this or not, but it just seems like every once in a while we get threads from people who are waiting for a release of this short, without realizing that they already own it. )

I'll be getting one of these for the same reason. Love Mickey's Christmas Carol, but never wanted to shell out the cash to get it on one of the DVDs.

Do you mean it won't be in its correct aspect ratio on this new set?

"Mickey's Christmas Carol" is 1.66:1 on the Walt Disney Treasures set.

If you've never seen "Mickey's Good Deed", pick it up for that alone. It's heartwarming and clasic, bringing you to tears it's so cute.

These sets most be selling better than most people think. Most retailers are raising prices on them. Best Buy sold the first set for $9.99, the second set for $11.99 and now they want $12.99 this time. When combined with the Disney gift card coupon these were a great deal.
