KROGER: Buy 1 MGM title, get 1 FREE

Was looking through my Kroger ad and saw this:

"Using your Kroger Plus Card, Buy 1 MGM DVD priced 9.99 or less, get 1 MGM title of equal or lesser value FREE. "

This isn't too bad of a deal. My Kroger has quite a selection (Bond films and others) so I may have to go and pick some up.

At my Kroger, I saw
Legally Blonde
For a Few Dollars More
Hang 'em High
Zulu
Phantom of the Opera (R. Englund)
Great Escape
Several WWII war movies

No Bond movies here. $5 apiece is pretty good. Looks like the lowest price elsewhere is about $9

I am in the Mid TN area. I didn't know ads would be different. You can view it at www.kroger.com and search for dvds. My ad had the deal on the LAST page.

Yeah mine here in Wilmington Ohio did not have the deal. We have the big MGM rack but the only deal going on was $2 off. Hopefully the deal will come my way. I saw a few titles I might pick up.

I checkled another store in Ohio last night, there were no signs in the store but in the ad, at the bottom of like the 3rd or 4th page there was something about 50% off $9.88 MGM dvds. They had a couple different displays, one that they've had forever full of $9.99 MGM dvds and another which I think was a Father's Day display with the Bonds and some other stuff which had the $2 off coupons (they expired 6/25). I picked up the Terminator off the Fathers Day display and Dorm Daze off the other and they both rang up $4.99

Nothing like that in the ad for the one nearest me (Jones Rd. @ Cypress N. Houston in Houston). They advertise $19.99 first run stuff.

I noticed today(07/06/05) that my Kroger's has changed their DVD prices to 2 for $9.9X. A lot of cool selections- The Graduate /Rocky 2 /Amityville Horror-3 diff titles one of which was the "Possession" /Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad World/Princess Bride S.E./Dances with Wolves- but Fullscreen. I also noticed the "Magnificent Seven S.E." but I only saw one copy of that one. This is the Kroger's at:

KROGER
700 SPINNING ROAD
DAYTON, OH 45431
Store Phone: 937-254-6501
You will need to use your "Kroger's card" to get the deal but it is a free card and can be gotten in the same visit. I don't know when the deal ends but you can give them a buzz with the phone# above...

Yeah it was in this weekend's paper here. I stopped yesterday and didn't see anything that I really wanted (they also didn't have any sale advertised on the dvd rack), but I may stop back before the sale is over and pick a few up. Was Terminator included? I didn't see it.

I have seen the first Terminator at this Kroger's before, but I don't think I saw it in stock today. Imageshack appears to be down or something at the moment but I went to Krogers.com to see the weekly ad and here is a link to see the short and sweet DVD ad(click on the DVD section to enlarge)-

Edit- removed first link not working due to cookies problem. Generic link
below works though

Or click here to check a different Kroger's location weekly sale Ad

I picked up a couple at the smith's in Wendover, NV. But watch your recept, as they did not take off the price of one. I had to go to customer service to get the money back on the one movie.

Kroger owns Ralphs. Not sure about Ralph's having the sale
