Need help with Romero's "Dead" Series

I'm looking to buy Romero's Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead.

Which versions should I get? Is there some sort of trilogy box set out there? Or do I just have to buy them individually. Also, should I be looking for any special editions or just the regular versions? Links would be appreciated. Thanks!

Divimax is a marketing term from Anchor Bay. In short, the transfers are down converted from a hi-def master.

Night: Elite Millennium Edition > http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/45371h.jpg

or Elite Collector's Edition > http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/1111h.jpg

DO NOT BUT ANY OTHER VERSION OF NOTLD. This point can not be stressed enough.

Dawn: The Divimax edition that you linked to is fine if you don't want to spend the $$$ on the Ultimate Edition. It is the same disc as disc one in the Ultimate edition. Personally, I consider Dawn one of the holy grails of horror cinema so the Ultimate Edition is worth every penny to me... YMMV of course.

Day: Divimax 2 Disc Edition > http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/533586h.jpg

There's a one disc also available > http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/618652h.jpg < but you lose the extras.

I ABSOLUTELY SECOND THAT!!! And all of the other recommendations as well, but there are so many absolute crap DVD versions of "Night" out there, you should be warned. Beware especially the "Anniversary edition", which Romero had nothing to do with... it alters the movie extensively (for the worse).

Isn't the "Millennium Edition" of Night the one where they spliced in stupid new footage?

Well, you're right, of course, but that DVD contains my favorite version of Dawn of the Dead, plus the "best" version is just a bit too pricey for a lot of the gorehounds out there, which is why it's the one I recommended.

Unless you're a Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan, in which case I recommend the Off Color Films version solely for Mike Nelson's commentary track.

I second that because it has both the original B&W version and a version with Mike Nelson's funny commentary (although the commentary version is unfortunately colorized).

Yeah, if you're just watching the movie, the Off Color version isn't the one you'll want, but it's cheap enough that I didn't mind double-dipping for the Nelson commentary.
