What are the best/your favorite DVD collection box sets?

I am not talking about trilogy sets and that sort of thing, so let's not mention Star Wars, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, etc...

What are the best DVD collection box sets? I'm talking about this sort of thing:

Controversial Classics
WB Film Noir Collection
WB Gangster Collection

What else should one look into getting? Are the Fox Noir DVDs in a box set? I only seem them as single DVD releases.

Since I don't have many boxed sets that don't apply to your criteria, the best I can do is the Stanley Kubrick collection.

I think everything else are trilogy/sequels sets.

Monster Legacy Gift set
Mondo Cane Collection
Friday the 13th: From Crystal Lake to Manhattan (Could've been better, but still gets enough love from me)
WB Gangster Collection (I just wish Eric Lax did the commentaries for all of them)

Without drawing up a long list i'll chime in with the Herzog/Kinski collection - very good presentation all round from packaging to disc content etc IMO.

The only set I got like that was the Ultimate Disney Box, which came with the Ultimate Toy Box () and the extra fancy versions of Emperor's New Groove (), Atlantis (), Tarzan (), A Bug's Life (), and maybe another movie I am forgetting.

I actually have only one non-anime non-trilogie boxset:

Akira kurosawa boxset(6DVD), Arte R2

Really good movie and good overall quality (good pq, good commentary...)
Nice box actually

Yes, and I am specifically holding out on it hoping they will convert them ASAP.

The Antoine Doinel box and the Hou Hsiao-Hsien box. Both are examples of classy packaging of great movies.

Don't know if this counts but Band of Brothers. Best set evar.

On a lesser note, the Super Troopers/Office Space 2-pack was the best pairing of comedy movies ever.

Also to Band of Brothers, Wrong Men/Notorious Women, Kubrick: A Life in Pictures, The Toy Box and Alfred Hitchcock Signature Collection.

The original Universal Monsters Collection: eight discs with Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, The Mummy, Dracula, The Wolf Man, The Phantom of the Opera, The Invisible Man, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon on their own separate discs. The Monster Legacy Collections are okay, maybe even better as far as Bride is concerned, and are surely outstanding values, but I just hate flippers.
Also both Marx Brothers sets, the Ray Harryhausen fantasy set, and Band of Brothers, although if we're counting this then I'm also counting all five seasons of Babylon 5.

Anchor Bay's Herzog/Kinski Set. I love this set.

WB's Film Noir Box Set #1 is a close second for me.
