Owen Wilson…best actor?
I’ve only seen a few of his movies so far (Rushmore, Wedding Crasher, Zoolander), but I’m really turning into a fan of this guy. They interviewed him in playboy this month and I think his best line was when he compared picking up women at weddings to fishing with dynamite (unfortunately for my single, female friends he wasn’t a guest at our wedding!) From a female’s point of view, he’s a pretty smart guy with lots of great points for the single men out there. Anyone else like him, or catch this interview?

I've liked him in every Wes Anderson movie.
Outside of those, though...meh.
He's a good enough actor, and he's from Austin, so he's okay in my book.

Yeah, I like Owen Wilson. He seems like a cool guy. He seems pretty grounded, and personable. His talents are pretty diverse...he's done comedy and action movies alike. I like the movies he's done, like Armageddon, Shanghai Noon, Behind Enemy Lines, and others.

i apologize if i'm wrong, "Katy" but i work in motion picture advertising (trailers, tv, epk) and this strikes me as some kind of thinly veiled plant for the "Wedding Crashers" campaign.

So, an advertisement for a movie where 2 guys crash weddings. Made by another person who crashes threads?

Just joined today and the first post praising the acting skills of Owen Wilson - who happens to star in a film that opens in 3 weeks...
yep, I'd say it's a plant.

something also came out in the New York Daily News that said he's all about "licking butt" and that he's known as the butterscotch something-or-other. Interestingly enough, a friend of mine dated him for a while, so I'll have to ask her if the rumors are true.

I have not heard of this Wedding Crashers film, but this thread has inspired me to investigate it and go see it. Thanks!

I hate Owen Wilson, I have hated him sicne I first saw him, I can't remember what movie it was, but i can tell you I hate him. I know I hated him in the Shanghi movies, and i hated him in Meet the Parents, I even hated him in Armageddon, which may be where my hate originates actually.
The thing about this is I love Wes anderson's films, and I know Anderson and Wilson are close and he is involved in producing the movies. So it 's like knife turing in my side when I watch one of Anderson's movies and enjoy it. I can't hink of another actor I even hate. As a rule I think it is stupid to hate an actor, but anytime I see him in a movie, it kinda distracts me and ruins it.
I hate him. I even acknowledge that he is funny often, but I still hate him.

I think his fascination with women's behinds is a little strange, but as an actor I find him kind of appealing. I don't think he has a lot of range though.
