How long do you have to keep the Showtime service?

Wow,

Thanks for the offer. I may do this just for the free game, and the 1 year subscription. I wonder if they just give you a 1 year card that I can redeem after my year is up, or if I can cancel my live account that I just paid for 2 months ago (prorated) and sign up for this one.

My headset is broken too.....very good deal...

I have to try this...thanks to the OP.

That's not a bad deal. I could handle 3 months of The L Word.

Apparently not through Cox only, but through most cable companies.

Yep. I checked their website and then called and asked if they had any specials if you sign up for Showtime. "Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh nope" was basically the answer I got.

Holy crap, you're right!

It doesn't seem to be a provider-based deal at all. It's a direct from Showtime deal. The only downside is you have to send in your three months of bills before you get the goods. But still, I'm all over this!

Excellent! Thanks for the link. I just had to sign up for Charter and this eases the pain a little bit.

My question is...at the section which asks you if you are a Showtime Subscriber...do you check yes or no? It makes a note that the rebate is for a NEW Showtime subsriber ONLY. So if you check no, are you saying you don't subscribe & then get refused? If you check yes, are you saying so have always been a subscriber and get refused?

I also assume I will have to wait until September or so to mail this sucker off which kind of stinks.

Showtime runs a load of ads for this deal. I'm currently on Comcast, and as such, the deal is marked "Showtime and Comcast bring you..."

Good deal, but the video quality for Showtime here is ass, and since I usually just watch original programming, I tend to stick with HBO.

I doubt I'll watch any of the Showtime for the three months I have it... but at $9/month for over $100 worth of Xbox Live gear it's worth it.

Every special is like that. Right now with Comcast new subscribers get the exact same package that's for me $70 bucks for only $30 bucks. Sucks hard, but what can you do?

I checked no since I am not a current subscriber. I still got to print out the info. Anyhow, anyone else notice they make you rank the games you want. So say you want Destroy All Humans and rank the Atari Anthology 4th on the list. I wonder if they send you the Atari game and claim that the other games are out of stock?

Got Showtime for $4 a month so that is not too bad. It includes a bunch of other movie channels but I am mainly getting it for Showtime HD. With Video On Demand I can now catch up on the 3rd season of Bullshit!.

So...anyone know of any promotions for HBO???

I got HBO for $5 a month for 4 months also, but only because of Six Feet Under. Not sure if there are any promotions like this one, though.

I just got this offer in the mail, can you use the Xbox starter kit to extend your Live account? I renewed my Live account in January - so can I add another year to it with this offer? I have planned on adding Showtime, more HD content and BS & L word, and this offer is better than anything else they have offered.

To answer your question : YES, you can use the Live Starter it to extend your subscription (you just enter the subscription code in your dashboard), however you can only renew for one year in advance, not multiple years ahead. I think this deal was "While Supplies Last", so I'm not sure it will be there in three months when you're finally able to apply for it.

Anyone here do this & get anything back yet? I just mailed my cable bills in yesterday. I was just curious what kind of response time there was.
