"Ain't That a Shame"

No episode description at Yahoo but the one on TVguide.com, that you can't copy and paste, makes it sound like

Spoiler:
Monica, Vic and the stike team work together to put Antwon Mitchell back behind bars after his deal with the DEA released him from prison. When Vic reveals his suspicions of David's connection to both Antwon and an inmate's murder, David must protect his political future at any cost. When the murder of an over-protective father leads Claudette and Dutch back to a foster home they had previously investigated, Monica makes an unpopular decision that helps seal her fate.

for those who want a "extended" preview ..might be considered a spoiler so read at your own risk...

and to this being the season finale..went WAYYYYY too fucking quick...it's too bad this isn't on FOX ..although TOO many episode of this show could have ruined it maybe..

I am so sad that this is going to be over already.
It sucks that we have to wait until 2006 for new episodes (and the dvds).
Great season though....I'm expecting it to go out with a BANG.

If I were forced to choose between having all the secrets of the universe revealed to me except what happens on The Shield tonight or watching The Shield tonight, I would watch The Shield every time.

There was a SNL skit a few years ago were TV critics kept trying to one up each other with superlatives for the Sopranos, and that was one of the reviews.

Was anyone else waiting for a bullet to come through the window and take out Monica when she was sitting on the couch?

Solid episode.

It looks like next season we're back to the them trying to take down the strike team.

Hmm! I wonder if that Antwon will talk about his deal about getting rid of Juan, I can't see Aceveda being in the clear yet.

I don't watch the previews, but my wife said the preview for tonight's episode indicated that somebody would die. Did she mishear, since obviously that didn't happen.

I think it said something like it would be the end (or something like that) for somebody.

They definitely gave the idea that somebody was going to die, though. In particular, the ad put Lem in peril. You know how promos are, though.

Excellent Finale.

Good twist with that undercover gal keeping her eye peeled on the strike team.

Thought maybe Rawling would have told Vic about it, but then again, she's a straight shooter.

By the way : Lets celebrate at a bar when our boss loses her job.

Would've been cool if Dutch got the Captains position (Vic would have stomped all over him. That would have been fun).

That was my first thought too.

Interesting ending.

Another very solid season....just too short

Not any more. Dutch found his balls and now Vic leaves him alone. I would like to have seen Dutch as squad commander though.

Looks like the big arc next season will be the case being built up against the team.

Too bad Monica didn't tell Vic about the sting being worked against him. For a second there at the end, I thought they were going to have sex. Then I thought she was going to eat her gun all by herself while the others partied.

Man, this sucks. Glenn Close was by far, the best thing about this season and now she's gone.

Great finale. Set up the heat for next season, as the strike team will be under the microsope.

The Dutch exchange at the end was great.
