Box Set Sale at FYE

Seems to be some good-great prices on box sets at FYE B&M. Items are listed with the sale prices less rebate.

24 Season 1 $34.99-$15

Buffy Season 1 $19.99-$5

Cheers Season 1 $19.99-$5

Essential Steve McQueen $39.99-$10 (previously posted by Doug Schiller)

Frasier Season 1 $19.99-$5

Golden Girls Season 2 $32.99-$10

MacGyver Season 2 $32.99 ($15 rebate when purchased with any Frasier, Cheers, Charmed, or 7th Heaven set or any set with the Paramount television banner - looks like this is a manufacturer's rebate so you should be able to use both this one and the $5 off for Cheers or Frasier, essentially getting one of those free)

Rocky and Bullwinkle Season 1 $14.99-$10

Seinfeld Season 1&2, or 3 $39.99-$15

Shield Season 1 $34.99-$15

Simpsons Season 1 $19.99-$5

Sopranos Season 1,2,3, or 4 $59.99-$20

For those of you that are interested in the Sopranos check Half.com. You can get new copies for about the same as FYE after you take into account rebates vs no rebates. Example $39.xx for season one +$2.49 shipping. Fye is $69.99-15% coupon today only for$59.49 minus $20 rebate or net of $39.49 plus sales tax on $69.99 which for me was $4.90 (which involves cutting up your box set and hoping to get a rebate) plus $.37 cent stamp for a grand total of $44.76. Season 2 to 4 were in the $42 to $44 range so the same would hold true of the other seasons (and if you bought from the same seller you would get discount on shipping)

Best of all no rebates to hassle with and no cutting up the boxes.

Just to clear up a myth: I've NEVER had to cut up my box to get an FYE rebate. I simply peel off the price label and send it in with the receipt.

I've never been a rebate denial or a problem!

The only downside to the rebate process is that it usually takes about 6 weeks to get FYE rebate checks (but, luckily, you can follow its progress online through the rebate website).

There are some great deals to be had here:

Rocky & Bullwinkle Box Set for only $4.99 is GREAT!!

To the best of my knowledge FYE.com does not incluse price stickers on the online orders. I have used when there was a BM store but out of more than a dozen orders from the .com side there has never been a price sticker. Anyone?

Since the original poster specified this as a B&M bargain, the .com observation isn't really relevant.

My mistake thought this was related to the one day 15% Fye.com coupon posts. Are there even any FYE's still open after the last wave of closings?

If it were an instant discount, I would buy some of these. I HATE rebates. Why not give me the discount now?

There's a pretty low rebate submittal rate at FYE; why give you the discount now if there's a great chance you won't even ask for it later?

You should probably open a new thread with your Sopranos question under the "DVD Talk" forum. Not a lot of people are going to find it under an FYE posting.
