DVD Talk review of 'Shaolin vs. Evil Dead'
I read Adam Tyner's DVD review of Shaolin vs. Evil Dead at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=16200 and he said
Dunno why Tai Seng passed on anamorphic widescreen -- the R2 release was 16x9-enhanced, at least.
Because Tai Seng doesn't give a damn. They rank right up there with Troma for suckiness of video quality, except unlike Troma they actually have good movies that deserve better.
Yeah, I have a bug up my ass about Tai Seng. I really would like to buy R1 versions of asian movies because it makes it easier to share them with friends, but Tai Seng's anti-quality-control forces me to go with the (often cheaper) foreign versions instead.
