Dragnet '67...who designed these discs?!

I am so glad this show is now out on dvd. The box art looks gorgeous. The discs on the other hand...

17 episodes and a bonus audio cd of a classic 50's Dragnet radio show...

Disc One Side One - 7 episodes

Disc One Side Two - 7 Episodes

Disc Two (note: looks exactly like Disc One) - 3 Episodes

Disc Two is one sided and has no top label art apart from the ID ring around the hole like the Disc One Flipper.

Very odd layout in my book. I hope they smooth it out for August's Adam-12 and Emergency! discs.

I feel your pain, though I provided fair warning of the crappy episode organizaion in my review posted back on May 23rd. Hey, at least the show holds up.

And in the long run, that's what really matters. Annoying packaging can be, well, annoying, but only for the few minutes it takes to locate and spin up the disc. And I can forgive that to a large degree if the program material itself has been given the respect it warrants (no pun intended ).

Is Universal still not putting any label whatsoever on side 2? I LIKE 2-sided discs (I know there are some who don't) and in fact prefer them to multiple 1-sided discs, but it looks REALLY awkward putting a disc in your player with no label to speak of facing up! Why do they do that?

Maybe it was put together by prison inmates?
