I can't think of Gallagher without thinking of MST3K. They constantly bashed him in the early days.

Joel: Gallagher, funny or not funny floating?

Crow: Not funny?

Joel: Extremely unfunny.

Joel always found a way to mention what a hack he was a few times a season. I think hack is a bit harsh and Gallagher did have his moments and I certainly laughed at some of his points during his specials, but all that fruit smashing with the hammer was weak. Only thing weaker than that was Gallagher II. That was super weak.

I would consider buying a disc if it had a couple of his pecials on it or a cheap box set with several specials. The price/package will be important, but most likely I will get these. Anchor Bay does a good job of keeping prices reasonable.

Funny, for a guy I haven't even thought of in over a decade, he made the front page of the Las Vegas paper today

Slapping a guy in the audience. Nice.

Hecklers suck, but you have to handle it better than that.

Awesome. I've only seen his specials when they reran during the early days of Comedy Central. It'll be nice to see them uncut and uncensored.

I thought he was funny when I was younger. I once went to one of his live shows and he grilled me while I was getting him to sign a t-shirt ... turns out he wanted me for his on-stage sex talk.

this guy does some great skits... unfortunately, it's being released on a VERY busy day, and there's just no chance I'll be buying it.

Just read DVD Talk's review and the set sounds very underwhelming. Plus, it's missing the "Totally New" special which is one of my favorites. I think I'll pass on this one now.

I dunno- 11 specials (Most of which have never been on DVD) for about 23 dollars- I think that's a pretty good deal, even with some poor picture quality. I have a feeling we're probably NOT going to see a newer version of this set... It's definitely on my want list.

Is there a chapter list for these? I remember Gallagher doing a bit on how confusing English is for non-speakers, and it was classic. I teach English to beginners, and this would be great for class.

There are no chapter stops in the shows (at least for the watermelon set).

Did this come out this week?
I checked all the stores around here and no one has it.
Circuit city could not find it in thier computer, so I couldn't even order it.

I went to Best Buy this week and saw a couple copies on the shelf, so it did come out.

The show with that bit, unfortunately, isn't included in the set. The above poster is correct, there are no chapter stops.

Ok where the heck do I go to get this? Not at Best Buy when I picked up SWEPIII. Not at Circuit City on the way home. Not at Super Target called them, not at Walmart called them.
