I saw them before they were even QOTSA! (AKA KYUSS)
I saw them touring for "Rated R" and twice on SFTD and yes, they do put on a great show. I hope to god I get to see them with NIN.

Ive seen them twice. Back during the Rated R days, and then again when I was i Paris a few months ago. It was their first show for the new album, and Only show at the time cause Josh was sick and got worse. But it was an amazing show. Great great band, and great live. Back during the Rated R days the show I seen sucked bad. But I went ahead and bought Rated R and loved the album anyways.
I was hoping they would have toured with Foo Fighters, but NIN is ok.

I saw them 3 or 4 times on the rated R tour, only 1 show was ok, the rest were horrible. SFTD came out, and I had a ticket to see them, but Nick coked out and the last dates were cancelled, so I never got to see them on support of that album. And I recently saw them on support for LTP, and they were good, not fantastic but ok.

I don't want to threadcrap, but I have to address this. I have had the displeasure of seeing QOTSA live 3 times. Always opening up for other bands. I saw them twice in 1999, once in 2001. The 1999 shows were in clubs with less than 1500 people. The 2001 show was in a theater with less than 2500. All three shows were TERRIBLE. I kind of like some of their radio-friendly songs, but to me, this band is just awful, especially live. Yes, they play at brutally loud volumes. No, they don't have a lot of musicianship.

Although QOTSA, has grown on me.
I'll buy their latest album, hoping to hear the more Kyuss-like songs, but I would eventually enjoy the rest of it. I'm really digging the new album, maybe I'll check them out when they come back through.
