City of God ever gonna drop in price?

Will the price ever drop on this? Perhaps, a new re-release? It has been out on DVD for quite sometime. What's the deal?

Disney does price drops in large chunks. It'll happen eventually.

Why not buy the 2-disc Brazil release or the Hong Kong release?

I've seen them cheap. The HK disc has DTS and it's a good price at CDWow.

My HK disc came with a slipcase and a keepcase. Very nice.

Price doesn't matter on this movie. It's well worth the $20. I've also seen a good many of them used around town, so keep an eye on anyplace that carries used product.

Ive seen quite a few at Gamestops and Ebgames. They are about 13 bucks. The movie is worth 20, its an instant classic.

A true classic. Worth the full price. If you are region free it is also worth checking out the series based on City of God, City of Men.

....Because it is non-16/9.

And the R3 has a number of spelling mistakes.

I saw the movie in the theatre and thought it was really well done. However, I don't like $19.99 on barebones. I'll try and hit up the local Gamestops.

It's far from barebones. The accompanying documentary on the gangs the film is based on is probably the single greatest special feature I own on a DVD. Amazing stuff.

Nooooooooo!

Nothing that bothered me. Subtitles are and can never be 'perfect'.

If it'll help you make up your mind, I'll second the notion that the documentary is absolutely amazing, and one of the best special features you'll ever find.

Perhaps a "perfect" translation may not be possible, but typos and grammatical errors are easily avoided.

I don't know the specs but that makes me ask why I don't have a region free player yet
