The Game- Widescreen enhanced?

I have the old polygram release of The Game and it's not widescreen enhanced. I've been thinking of getting the Universal release but only if it's got enhanced widescreen. The case does not offer this information. Could anyone that owns the Universal version confirm/disconfirm?

Many thanks,
Samuel

If you want to wait, supposedly a SE is coming out next month in R2.

I have the Japanese anamorphic R2 disc but would gladly upgrade to an anamorphic SE should one become available.

I placed my order before reading about a possible SE. If it has a commentary track I'll do a triple-dip but if not it's no big deal.

Thanks again. The thread in the Intl' forum is a great resource as well (which I discovered shortly after posting).

Every other Fincher DVD has had a special edition treatment and the Game Criterion Laserdisc is better than that lame ass DVD release, so I hope that this comes soon!!!

Those of us that have been around here a long time have been saying that for 5 years. Who knows when this shows up.

Maybe it will come out with Fincher's next film in 2006.

I thought Criterion was working on a new version of this.
