I will not be taking my children to this film because I do not feel comfortable exposing them to quirky situations.

Everyone has a right to there own opinions always- But when you mention quirky, do you mean some of the DVD's in your collection as well? (for example Aqua teen hunger force, Sea Lab 2001,MST3K as well some really violent titles

Well, they are *your* kids, so it might be too late for that

I would imagine that Ryu is being facious.

I saw the one-sheets (I guess that's what they're called) at the theatre today, and they are some of the coolest posters I've seen for a movie. I hope this is successful (or at least enjoyable)...I'm really excited about it. Thanks for the link.

I thought there was something wrong with the thread title. It must have been changed by the OP after the time allowed to do so and still change the title showing on the main forum.

I thought it was a little early for the film to be bootlegged.

I go between excited, and unsure about this film. I want to like it, since I generally like Burton and Depp's work. The original is much more a classic than, say, the original Longest Yard. Quite near a perfect film, imho. I don't see too many movies in the theaters these days. After WarOTW, this is the movie I am looking forward to most in the next few months.

I'm more interested by the film now but I'm still not curious enough to see in the theater. Another little push and I'd be very tempted.

For those who don't get the joke, check out the details of the MPAA rating. I guess the MPAA just doesn't feel comfortable putting a G rating on a Johnny Depp movie.

oh man, this looks so damn good!! I'm getting too excited to see this movie. Johnny Depp & Tim Burton is better than peanut butter & chocolate.

Still looking forward to seeing this, but I liked the teaser trailer even more because it was even weirder. Also kinda disappointed it's only PG (hoping for a PG-13), but it still looks good.

Johnny Depp, one of my favorite actors, is really grating to me in this trailer.

Same here. These are my two big must see movies this summer. This doesn't really hurt the original because it's closer to the book than the Wilder version from what I hear. Plus, Burton and Depp together usually means something interesting. You can like or dislike a Johnny Depp film, but you can't say his choices are ever routine.

I'm unsure about this. After seeing the trailer, I'm just not excited that much.

Quality wise, I hope it's good like Sleepy Hollow was and not shitty like Planet of the Apes was...

After seeing this, I'm there. Depp looks nuttier than usual as Wonka.
