Help! Bootleg or real Resident Evil: Apocalypse?
Hi, I bought Resident Evil: Apocalypse from Amazon's marketplace but I'm not sure if it is real or a bootleg. Can anyone tell me if the DVD looks like the pictures below? I'm asking because the case looks, feels and even smells different than normal. The DVD did come shrink wrapped and had a "sticker" sealing the DVD. How can i tell if a DVD is a bootleg?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Looks real to me,although i don't have that movie on DVD to compare it to.
As far as i can see there are no obvious signs that it is a bootleg.Perhaps someone that has it can give you a definate answer.

It is possible the seller exchanged the case for some reason. Did this come shrink wrapped? I can look at mine this evening when I get home to compare images.

Could it be a rental copy?
Because my Resident Evil has the little flipper thing for the two discs.
If you buy it in stores...does it still come with the slip cover? If the stores still have a slip cover, and yours doesn't then it could mean that it's a bootleg or a rental copy.

It's more than likely a rental copy. This is the cover of the rental version. The one sold in stores (at least when they first came out) had the text and milla on the slipcover, and then the actual case had no text or anything on the front, just the zombies and the background.

I just looked at my brother's copy. The discs look exactly the same. The case otherwise is different. My brother's copy has clear slipcover with the following printed on it: Resident Evil Apocalypse, Special Edition, The movie quote and picture of Milla. Everything else is printed on the cover art.
It looks like yours is a previous rental as the above poster pointed out.

Actually thought it was pretty good popcorn flick. Almost non-stop action.
Those types of movies are almost gone.
