Dude! Westwood G@ming College!

Is there a worse video game commercial on G4?

Pink Polo Shirt Dweeb: Awww...hurry up man; boss is comin' in!

Blue T-Shirt Dork:
Duuuude! I almost got it!

Female Boss: Hey! How are the graphics coming on that game? *stressed* I've got another one I need designed!

Blue T-Shirt Dork:
Weeee... just finished level 3; and need to tighten up the graphics a little bit.

Boss: Great!

Pink Polo Shirt Dweeb:
Hey; I can't believe we got jobs doing this!
Blue T-Shirt Dork: I know! And my MOM said I would never get anywhere with these games!

The sub-porno level acting; the pathetic manipulation and the icing on the cake...

"Not intended for residents of Texas or Massachusetts"

WTFBBQ? Isn't that usually reserved for sweepstakes and lotteries? This is by far the worst commercial on a "network" filled with terrible ads. Is there anything worse? I almost feel bad for the idiots suckered into this - thinking they're going to make a living playing VIDEO GAMES! Although it's hard to fathom just how stupid somebody would have to be to believe this...

I'm curious as to whether those places they advertise are legit? I'd imagine they're just like ITT or Devry and that you just kind of hang out until your tuition is paid and they don't really teach you anything or have any connections.

Drives me nuts everytime I see it. I can't imagine a job more tedious than testing video games.

It's a hilarious commercial. Either those two were pulled from pornos or their careers are headed in that direction. I'm glad someone else found it humorous.

I swear I want to vomit every time I see that commercial. Plus I live in MA so that whole college can suck my ass.

Just noticed... they're using PS1 controllers!

(I guess their BOSS forgot to tell them the new Crash Bandicoot game they're testing... has been cancelled)

Man, I was just talking about this with someone. Total porno acting. We are almost done with level three on this PSone game. Hopefully we will get it finished before the PS3 comes out.

You know there ARE people that make a living playing video games. They are Quality Assurance Engineers and Game Testers. While the commercial is aimed to make people think it's very easy to do that and earn the "college" a nice buck, it is possible to get a job like that. However, it's very hard to come by.

Are they the same ones that "tighten up the graphics" before "getting a new game to redesign"?

The ad implies your job involves:

1) Come into work (dressed in pink polo shirt)
2) Sit down next to your buddy (a mouth breather)
3) Play up to level 3
4) Tighten up the graphics
5) Redesign game for boss
6) Go home and tell your mom how you CAN MAKE A LIVING PLAYING GAMES!

Westwood COllege give U the sw33t GAMEZ making skillz!

The whole station is one huge mud-stomp to the face of all who love video games.
(unless it has changed since the two years ago I last had cable)

Westwood college HAS had some problems with their questionable business practices. Pretty shady overall, and not quite legit in the academic sense. ITT is a vocational school, I believe. DeVry, however, is fully accredited, same as any traditional four year college.

I can't speak for Devry, but during my engineering co-op I've had the plessure of working with some seriously skilled people with degrees from ITT. (also worked with a big loser though) My impression is that ITT is a valid educational experience as well.
