Costco prices 5/24??? please
has anyone been to costco yet? i'm wondering if they have any good deals on today's animation sets, such as:
Batman TAS Volume 3,
Speed Racer Volume 3,
Super Friends Volume 3,
and Samurai Jack Volume 2
sorry for posting a request, as opposed to a deal, but i thought, someone must know by now...

Blade, the DVD talk superhero that does the Costco thread every week is located in Hawaii, which, at the time of this post, is not even 8AM yet. He usually gets to it toward the late afternoon to early evening.

I was just at Costco, didn't look to closely at the titles you were looking for, I think I only saw Speed Racer and I believe it was $12. Could not find Newsradio or The Job (what I was there looking for).

hi,
i just corrected/modified the date in the subject of this post, but just in case anyone reads this thread, i originally put the wrong date in the subject line of 9/24. so in case you wonder what these people are talking about, well that's it. i made a real stupid mistake. i come here and have the nerve to post a request info topic, not even a deal, and i make an idiotic mistake like that. I"M SO STUPID! i'm sorry and as punishment i'm going to go without using this forum for a week and probably get bad deals on dvds.
i apologise for any inconvenience,
sincerely,
akira

Stopped by there yesterday, also looking for the Newsradio set. (No dice.)
The one interesting thing I saw was a threefer box with the newly-released Frank Sinatra detective flicks (The Detective, Tony Rome, and Lady In Cement) for only $17.99, if memory serves.
I’ll probably pick one up on Friday, when I get my wife some new tires.
EDIT = Actual price is $16.49! So much for my memory, huh?

I was at my local Costco today -- they had the Batman set (the four feature films) for about $22, if memory serves. I scarfed up the A&E "Romance Collection" megaset, with A&E's PRIDE & PREJUDICE, EMMA, JANE EYRE, TOM JONES, VICTORIA & ALBERT, IVANHOE, LORNA DOONE, & THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL (3 feature-length episodes). Also in the blister-pack was a bonus 2-disc HORATIO HORNBLOWER: THE NEW ADVENTURES. A total of 16 discs, all for $99. I hate to get my wife DVDs for our anniversary, but she loves these.

Looked for Airwolf, but they didn't have it. Did see that they had a boxset of three Fox 3 Stooges Films for $10.99 (I'd imagine this is a misprice, maybe not, but it seems too cheap). The set seemed to be made FOR Costco (similar to the Fox Film Noir set, which was three movies bundled in a longbox with artwork). Anyways, it had Snow White and the Three Stooges, Stooges in Color, and Soup to Nuts. I already purchased SW&TS so I passed on it. Not bad though, 3 DVDs for $11.
