"House, M.D." 5/24/05
Good episode.
the song at the end, the same as the series premiere, brought a tear to my eye.
not really, it was just cool to hear it again, with the choir
episode reactions?

"...and brink sparky with you too..."
"...paging Dr. Forman..."
Man those lines had me cracking up. What a solid end to a great first season. After the last couple of weeks I think this show has become my favorite on television (no more Carnivale and sorry Mr. Bauer, maybe next year).
I also loved how they ended with the same Stones song, it was a very strong way to end this season.

Sela still gives me the hot. Can't blame House for wanting it.
Cameron's words to House at the end were heartbreaking, never like seeing Cameron in emotional pain and turmoil.

I was pretty pissed about that tacked on bit, I'll be happy if she makes a cameo and skeedaddles.

I'd prefer if she was only in one or just a few episodes next season as well. I just don't care to see that storyline taking away from the development of the other characters or on the patients.

I couldn't believe that one! I don't like that Cuddy offered his ex a job. It was nice to get a peek at House's past, but I don't think this show needs a love triangle. Just let Cameron kick her ass in a catfight and she can go on her merry way.
I think I would've liked a 2 hour finale better. Pretty much anything was going to be a letdown after last week. Maybe next year, if it gains any more popularity.
I'd also love to know what they had to do to get the music they've used on this show. Someone on the show must have major connections.

definitly..
while I like that they brought her in, to lead into alot of house's backstory.. As long as she is there, it pretty much hinders alot of the advancement of the current stories.
she served her purpose to bring on the story of house's leg.. but i think we got what we needed, and now she can be gone!

If she were just a guest star, they wouldn't have advertised "What will happen when Sela Ward joins the cast" as they did before her first episode.
I mean, she's a name, but not someone who would be considered a big star, or even a big TV star. I don't think they'd push her presence so much if she's only there for a 3 episode arc.
Beyond that, House needs to move beyond his past. She's not just about the leg, she's the key to everything about the past. House has to move past her, which they've now kind of gummed up by showing that she still has feelings for him. I don't want to see all that resolved in one episode.

He had about 30 seconds of screentime and didn't show up until the finale.

I agree, Hugh is an excellent actor. He is very enjoyable to watch. That last scene, with the Stones plaing in the background was great. With that last close up shot of his face after he popped the pill. He goes from in pain, to feeling better, to in pain again (except it was more of an emotional pain), all with his eyes. Very cool.
I have to say that I think Sela Ward also did an excellent job. I have never watched her before, she was quite good opposite Laurie.
